Anna's Journey
Anna's journey began in the quiet countryside of upstate New York, where, at just eight years old, she started crafting jewelry from chestnuts. Raised in a rural landscape, she found beauty in the simple things, a passion for creativity that would stay with her throughout her life.
Her path took a dramatic turn when she left her small-town roots behind to study at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. After completing her education, Anna spent several years on Wall Street, navigating the fast-paced corporate world. But, as with all great stories, her heart called her in a different direction.
Seeking a deeper connection to herself and the world around her, Anna made the bold decision to leave her career and travel. Her journey led her to Salina, a remote volcanic island in Italy, where she would spend eight years immersed in the island’s breathtaking natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. It was here, surrounded by the Mediterranean’s sparkling waters and ancient traditions, that her creative spark was reignited.
On the island, Anna began experimenting with sea glass, obsidian, and Sterling silver, using these elements to create unique, wearable art. Her jewelry quickly caught the attention of locals and tourists alike, leading to trunk shows at boutique hotels around the island. But Anna wasn’t content to rest on her intuition alone. To refine her craft, she studied at the renowned Scuola Orafa Ambrosiano in Milan, learning traditional Italian techniques that would become the foundation of her signature style.
Today, Anna Saulino’s designs stand as a testament to the legacy of Italian craftsmanship—bold yet elegant, sophisticated yet timeless. Each piece is carefully handcrafted, with meticulous details such as hand-hammered textures that add depth and personality to her creations.
Though her work is now created in her studio in downtown Fort Lauderdale, the essence of her journey remains unchanged. The passion that first drove her to create jewelry from chestnuts as a child still pulses through every piece she makes. As an artist, Anna remains committed to growth, constantly evolving while staying true to the integrity and innovation that define her work.
